Epson 4900 turning off

Hi Peeps,

I have a few 4900's in the field.

After the printer hasn't been used for a while it goes into a power saving mode and when it does that, when you send a job, it gives an error because the printer is off. Any suggestions how to solve this?

Kind Regards,

Lindsay

I could not find anything like that hence this thread. I must admit, I had a very quick look, I will investigate further.

Yes, a firmware update should do the trick.

Good morning,

I installed our EPSON Stylus 4900 yesterday .... and this morning found the machine had turned itself off!

How did you resolve your issue?

Best regards

..... I found the soloution; you'll like this:

Turn the printer off, then turn it on again whilst depressing the pause button; the printer will boot in maintenance mode.

There are two interesting options: Sleep mode and Power management.

I set the former to 180 minutes and the later to disable.

Turn printer off and on again.

Best regards
