Changing Printer from USB to IP Port

Greetings,

What I thought would be a simple thing to do, changing my printer from a USB connection to the I/F Card turn out to not be simple.

I am using a older version of ColorProofXF (3.1) and we have run on USB for a long time. Recently, we moved locations and need to use the I/F card since the printer is in another room. I configured the card, find the printer in Windows but cannot get the EFI software to switch to the IP. I get the dreaded to many printers license issue. I do not want to strip out the output devices (paper types) for a fear of loosing the settings but cannot run a USB line the didstance.

Does anyone remember how to switch printer ports?

Thank you,
Jason

Try making your linearization device and the proofing device share the same IP address.

Connection type: Print via IP network.
IP address:
RAW on Port 9100.

Thanks for the help.

I could not even change the Lin device without the error.

I ended by deleting all the devices and setting the Lin, then created all the other device workflows. Was faster than I thought it was going to be.

Thanks,
Jason
