Unhappy Optimization Not Functioning In eXpress 4.5 Advanced on Mac OS 10.6

I have a customer who is trying to optimize his proofs using EFI eXpress 4.5 Advanced on Mac running 10.6. He can print the image and then the verify button becomes active and he can verify the proof. When it fails, the optimize button does not become active and is greyed out and therefore he cannot optimize and then reprint the optimized image. I am using the same eXpress 4.5 Advanced setup on my PC running Windows 7 and after verification it allows me to optimize and then reprint the optimized image and verify again. The customer called EFI tech support and he was told optimization can only be done on CMYK files. He has tried multiple CYMK color space images and still the optimization button will not become active. I even sent him the same exact CMYK file that I was able to optimize on my PC and he still cannot optimize this file on his MAC. I have checked our settings on both computers and they are exactly the same. Is this possibly a Mac only issue?

The Optimize button is not available if a perceptual or saturated rendering intent is selected. The same applies if color adjustments and a dynamic rendering intent are used. This is the intended behavior and not an error in the software.

I know you say that you have double-checked your settings but please check once more based the above.

The customer is using relative colorimetric rendering intent and has never used perceptual or saturation and is still having this issue. He has opened two different support tickets with EFI technicians regarding this, and a week after each one was opened he had called back to get a resolution to this issue they tell him the ticket has been closed on both occassions with no resolution to the issue. My customer is getting ready to send back this software if this issue is not taken care of. I don't know what else to do.
