Heidelberg MetaDimension with Colorproof XF

Hi All,

I have a question about custom proofiling method with Heidelberg MetaDimension RIP software with bulit-in XF LinTool and/or Color Management module...

I would like to use to after my calibration (base linearization and ICC profiling) the SCO Tool as usual in Colorproof XF but its not working here because the MetaDimension isn't to use vcc or 3cc files... Why not, or I can't use together these softwares right...?

Can anybody help me in this topic...? The regional Efi and Heidelberg support team can't tell me the correct solution...

In SCO tool, in the Preferences, you can select to "Ignore 3CC/Optimize Paper Profile".
Is this a solution??

Yes, I know but it's not really good for me, I would'nt like to change my ICC profiles parameters. My plan is that I can assign a Lab-based optimalization file as vcc for example for all profiling queue (or "workflow" in Efi language) without have to change parameters of my output ICC profile...

It's really interesting thing because the MetaDimension (sorry, I don't know that U know Meta RIP or not) is completly use Efi Colorproof XF calibration module with absolutely equal GUI as well (I think is OEM) but the appropriation is different...

Hi Kdz,
Can you tell us what version of Meta your using?
Also what version of Colorproof is it?

As far as I am aware,
All versions of Meta (the latest is5.2) are only using Color Proof Pro (latest is 1.1.0.9) not Color Proof XF.
If your question is,
Can you use BPL's and Profiles from Meta Color Proof Pro
in EFI Colorproof XF?
I would think they are incompatible, I've tried similar trades and was unable to get them to work.

Hi Tim,

The used RIP is the brand new Heidelberg Prinect MetaDimension (maybe v5) with his built-in Efi calibration module... Sorry, I can't say you the correct number of version because I'm not there at the moment...

I think I can use in the Colorproof XF the BPL's or EPL's by MetaDimension (but I have to say u I have never tested it) because the calibration method and the files are equal as in the XF... Okay, I going to try it...!

I hope that we can solv this problem - the Meta is really good RIP and the Efi as well - already have to work together right... :-D
But the Efi XF without SCO tool is can not get the perfect color macthing if I checking with a ECI targetproof (from input ICC to output ICC simulation DE is more than I woluld like it - and than with totaly equal baselin and ICC's is and SCO the matching is really perfect (average DE is 0.7-1.1, the peak is 4.3)

I like SCO! :-D

Anybody more for example from Efi Team...?
