Getting Started Using
PANTONE Goe on the Fiery
It is easy for Fiery users to include PANTONE Goe colors in a document and even easier to get perfect PANTONE colors from printers. Just by follow the easy guidelines below.
To design using a PANTONE color with an application:
- Work with PANTONE colors as selected from the swatch libraries available in your favorite page layout or design application.
OR
To design using a PANTONE color at the Fiery server:
- Check to see that the PANTONE Goe library is included in your Fiery server already. If it is not available, download the PANTONE Goe ICC profile and install it on the Fiery through EFI Spot-on.
To design using a PANTONE color within Spot-On:
- Go to File > Download.
- Point to the PANTONE Goe ICC profile.
To enhance color with Fiery and PANTONE Goe colors:
- Use Fiery to calibrate any printer to ensure the best possible color output available.
- Profile printers on selected paper using EFI Color Profiler Suite to achieve optimal results and to facilitate remote soft-proofing.
To know which PANTONE Goe swatches are outside the printer gamut, use the EFI Color Profiler Suite to compare the PANTONE Goe ICC profile with the chosen printer profile.
To know how swatches from the PANTONE Goe library will look when printed using specific combinations of printer and paper stock using Spot-on, select a PANTONE library and choose print. The option to specify patch layout and paper size is provided.
To fine tune the output of a PANTONE color, simply use the spot color search function in Spot-On to modify the PANTONE spot color library. Fiery will display a soft proof of the spot color. For precise control, select the match based on the printed spot color search pattern.
Once you are satisfied with the reproduction of the PANTONE Colors, Print the document to the Fiery.
