Spot Color TIFF files

Will Colorproof XF correctly process and output TIFF files that are CMYK + Spot Color channels?

I tried it today and it did NOT work. Which file formats that Colorproof can take will work with spot colors?

Hello Abe,

Spotcolors are recognised in PS/PDF composite files with activated InRIP separation and for separated PS/PDF/DSC2 files.

Could you please tell me something more about printing PDF files with spot colors?

I mean specifically PDF files with embedded DCS files. If I remember correctly Colorproof v5 had trouble to recognize spot colors then. It used CMYK preview values. Am I correct?

So, please drop a quick info how to print PDFs with those pesky spot colors inside DCSs.
